• I have been exhibiting my work professionally for over 30 years. I work primarily in painting and drawing with an emphasis on works on paper.

My imagery is informed by natural history and the environmental crisis. My creative work and my teaching converge in the Outdoor Studio course in which I bring students to sites in and around San Antonio to make works of art outdoors.

I am an active participant in the Texas art scene, primarily in San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, and Austin. I am on the San Antonio Museum of Art Artist Advisory Board, and I support numerous Texas art institutions and art educational programs by creating and donating works of art. I am also a member of various environmental organizations, such as the San Antonio Audubon Society.

I chair the committee responsible for programming the Neidorff Art Gallery. I am very involved in working with other faculty to shape the new environmental studies major. I participate in faculty governance, I served on the Faculty Senate, and I am a loyal yoga student in the Wellness Program.
